'Penguin Books' is a publisher based in the United Kingdom and founded in 1935. Since 2013, Penguin Books is now part of the worldwide Penguin Random House, a massive conglomerate which was created in 2013 through the merger of the two publishers.<ref>Mark Sweney "Penguin and Random House merger to create biggest book publisher ever seen", The Guardian, 29 October 2012</ref> It was formerly called Penguin Group.

Plume Publishing is part of Penguin.
